DOULA SERVICES AND BESPOKE SUPPORT

IN PERSON SUPPORT • VIRTUAL AND TEXT SUPPORT

I believe in the power of support and advocacy during the sacred journey of birth, especially at a time when we hear more horror and traumatic stories than inspiring ones. I think it’s important to be prepared and informed without setting unrealistic expectations that can be counter-productive and add unnecessary pressure. My doula services focus on unlocking inpowered births through logistical and emotional support, informed decision-making, and movement. I would be honoured to work together and help you navigate the transformative experience of childbirth and transition into motherhood.

My experience as a Campaigner and Advocacy Director at human rights organisations has equipped me with valuable skills in understanding and advocating for the rights and needs of individuals. I am channeling this background as a doula to provide compassionate and supportive care, ensuring that the birthing person’s voice is heard and their choices are respected throughout the process.

I offer virtual and in person doula services in London. These include:

Prenatal support

Tailored antenatal sessions to discuss your hopes, preferences, and any fears you may have, birth physiology and biomechanics, breathing exercises, partner support, breastfeeding tips, and a lot more.

Birth support

I would be honoured to be part of your birth team whether that’s supporting you remotely or in person. In both cases, you can count on me to listen and help create a safe, respectful environment. I’ll be your oxytocin cheerleader!

Postnatal support

The early days and weeks after giving birth are crucial and precious. You may need someone to listen when you’ve had a challenging night, to encourage you about your feeding choices… you deserve to feel cared for physically and emotionally.

BIRTH PREPARATION WORKSHOP

ONLINEIN PERSON

The birth preparation workshop is a 2.5-3h session with your birth partner. Together you will learn postures and techniques that help with grounding, release tension, and deep relaxation. It is a lovely moment to bond and build confidence in each other. It’s also a moment to discuss options, preferences, as well as manage expectations.

The movements and breathing techniques learned during the workshop are known for providing relief and energy while alleviating common pains such as back and pelvic girdle pains, and prepare for an active birth.

The workshop combines antenatal information and pregnancy yoga – also called prenatal or antenatal yoga – which is a supportive and gentle practice that helps you feel powerful and grounded during pregnancy and through childbirth itself.

Birth partner

Birth partners are welcome – and even encouraged – to attend the birth preparation workshop. Birth partner is a broad definition that can include your partner, your mother, your auntie, your best friend… whoever is planning to be there for you during your pregnancy and through labour and birth.

Extras

Based on demand, the workshop can cover extra topics such as human rights in maternal care and maternal care for black women.

Postnatal sessions are designed for you to release tension, refresh, and energise, all in a safe environment. Postnatal/ Parent & Baby Yoga is a gentle and fun practice for parents to share with their newborn, from six weeks to crawling.

The class is designed to benefit both the mother and the baby. It develops a special bond between mother and baby and helps with:

  • Balance, mobility, and confidence to accompany babies’ natural developmental process

  • Essential body awareness, stretching and core strength that help with crawling, sitting, climbing, walking

  • Relaxation and relief (for gas, reflux, and colic pain)

  • Strengthen your pelvic floor, back and abdominal muscles

I teach to all levels! No prior experience required. At the moment, I don’t have capacity to resume group classes but I offer private classes online or in the comfort of your own home if you live nearby (London).
